HUXLEY COMMUNICATIONS TO LAUNCH
WITH BIG TEN NETWORK

HUXLEY COMMUNICATIONS, has reached agreement to carry the Big Ten Network when the new network launches on August 30th, 2007. The Big Ten Network is a national network dedicated exclusively to Big Ten Conference television programming.  The announcement was made today by General Manager Bill Hotchkiss and Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman.

The network will be TEMPORARILY broadcast on channel 49 for 30 days and then move to its permanent location of channel 20 on our basic cable lineup.

In making the announcement, Bill Hotchkiss said the cable system believes the network, dedicated to showcasing the nation’s premier athletic and academic conference will be an instant hit with Iowa Hawkeye fans in the area. “We’re really very pleased that our customers will be able to get the Big Ten Network from the beginning,” Bill Hotchkiss continued. Central Iowa is obviously Big Ten country, and I expect the Big Ten Network to become a popular destination very, very quickly.”

Network President Mark Silverman said in agreeing to carry the network, Huxley Communications is in tune with its customers – the passionate Big Ten fans who live in Iowa.  Huxley Communications believes that the network is compelling and attractive to its subscribers, who will enjoy unparalleled coverage of Big Ten sports, as well as campus programming featuring entertaining stories about what’s happening at their favorite universities,” he said.

The Big Ten Network is launching August 30, 2007 and will be the destination for Big Ten fans across the country. Operating 24-hours a day, 365-days a year, the Big Ten Network will showcase a wide array of classic-to-current sports, as well as original programming produced by the network and by the conference’s 11 member institutions. This year, the network will offer more than 35 football games, more than 105 regular season men’s basketball games, more than 55 women’s basketball games, Big Ten Championships, more than 170 Olympic sporting events, coaches’ shows, a nightly studio show and more than 600 hours of campus programming showcasing activities and accomplishments of some of the nation’s finest universities.
